Looking for the perfect Father's Day gift? Treat yourself to D.J. Gregory's incredible journey around the PGA TOUR!
The most inspiring story of the 2008 PGA TOUR season took place outside the ropes as D.J. Gregory, who was born with Cerebral Palsy, fulfilled a lifelong goal of walking every hole of the PGA TOUR season.
From the Mercedes Championship in Maui, to the season-ending tournament at Disney World, D.J. Gregory walked each hole, each day, each week of the PGA TOUR schedule. D.J. also made a late season stop to finish out his remarkable journey at the 2008 Shark Shootout!
D.J. Gregory is now sharing his motivational story in his new book Walking with Friends. Here is a sneak preview of D.J. astonishing story:
D.J.'s love for golf began when he was only twelve as he consistently watched golf on television and attended local PGA TOUR tournaments with his father. But unlike other young golf enthusiasts, D.J. knew he would never become a professional golfer or even a caddie.
D.J. was born with Cerebral Palsy and as an infant his parents were told he would probably spend the majority of his life in a wheelchair. That diagnosis did not discourage nor hinder his attempt to beat the odds and thus five surgeries later and countless hours of hard work, D.J. learned to walk with a cane.
In 2008, D.J. decided it was time to make his dream come true - travel the country and walk each hole of a PGA TOUR event with a different player each week. As D.J.'s journey progressed he developed lasting friendships with many of the PGA TOUR's best including Boo Weekley, Kenny Perry & Davis Love III.
For D.J., 2008 was the most exciting, challenging, and rewarding year of his life!
